VERTICAL · PEST CONTROL

Artificial intelligence for pest control operators.

We build the artificial intelligence systems pest operators use to capture every call, dispatch the right tech, and stop losing leads to the next company on the customer's list. Live in production with ProCare Pest Control today - metro Atlanta and Georgia.

WHAT'S BROKEN

The drag that's costing Pest Control operators money.

Three patterns we see across every pest control operator we audit. If any of these sound familiar, artificial intelligence belongs somewhere in your operation.

- Issue 01 -

Missed calls = lost jobs

Pest control has the highest call volume of any home service. When the front office can't answer fast, customers dial the next company. Every missed call is roughly $400-800 in lifetime customer value walking out the door.

- Issue 02 -

Routine intake buries the team

Bug ID, basic pricing, schedule changes, and after-hours leads pile up on a small office staff who should be handling complex cases and existing-customer relationships - not routine first-time questions.

- Issue 03 -

Peak season breaks the system

Spring and summer pest pressure means call volume can 5x in days. Hiring seasonal staff is slow and expensive. Most operators end up missing the spike and watching competitors grow into it.

WHAT WE BUILD

Artificial intelligence systems, built for pest control.

Every build is custom - engineered specifically for one operator's workflow, integrations, and customer relationships. Below is a representative sample of what we deploy in the pest control vertical.

- Build 01 -

Artificial intelligence receptionist (Maddie)

Custom voice artificial intelligence answering every inbound call 24/7. Qualifies new customers, books appointments, transfers existing customers and complex cases to humans. Live in production with ProCare since May 2026.

- Build 02 -

Smart dispatch + routing

artificial intelligence calculates job duration, customer location, technician skill matrix, and day-off filters to book the right tech for the right day. Removes the dispatcher's manual juggling.

- Build 03 -

After-hours lead capture

When the office is closed, the artificial intelligence captures full new-customer details and routes structured leads straight into the booking system. No more voicemail-to-competitor handoff.

- Build 04 -

Operations dashboard + monitoring

Real-time call volume, transfer rate, lead capture rate, technician load. Owner sees the business at a glance.

CASE STUDY · PROCARE PEST CONTROL

How DRS built artificial intelligence for ProCare Pest Control.

ProCare is one of the bigger pest control operators in metro Atlanta. Before we worked with them, the owner was the only person reliably answering calls and after-hours leads went to voicemail. We built and deployed Maddie - their artificial intelligence receptionist - handling every inbound call 24/7 with full routing to their FieldRoutes scheduling system. Live in production since May 2026.

OPERATOR QUESTIONS

Common questions from pest control operators.

Does the artificial intelligence receptionist actually book appointments or just take messages?
It books real appointments. The system integrates with FieldRoutes (or whatever scheduling tool the operator uses), checks technician availability + skill matrix + day-off filters, and books the appointment directly. Customer gets a confirmation. No human in the loop required for standard bookings.
What happens with existing customers calling for service or billing?
Existing customers and complex cases get transferred to a human at the office. The artificial intelligence's job is to handle new customer intake, qualify, book, and route - not replace the relationship with existing customers. Routine transfers are clean, and the customer often does not realize they spoke with an artificial intelligence.
Will my customers know they're talking to artificial intelligence?
Customer experience is conversational, warm, and natural. Operators who run the system find that customers either don't realize or don't care once their job is booked. We focus on outcomes, not disclosure theater.
How much does this cost a pest control business?
Setup runs in the $1,000 to $5,000 range depending on integration complexity (whether you use FieldRoutes, PestPac, ServSuite, or something custom). Monthly retainer plus per-minute voice usage typically lands between $300 and $1,500 per month for a single-office operation. Multi-office operations scale with volume.
What if the artificial intelligence gets something wrong?
Every call is logged, every decision is auditable, and the system has hard-coded escalation paths for complex requests. Operators see weekly reports of what got transferred and why. The system improves over time as edge cases get added to the routing logic.
How long until it goes live?
Typical implementation is 2 to 4 weeks from scoped proposal to live in production. The bottleneck is usually customer scheduling integration, not the artificial intelligence itself. We test against the real call flow before going live.

Want to walk your pest control operation through the audit?

We take on a limited number of engagements. If artificial intelligence belongs in your business, we'll tell you the shape it should take. If it doesn't, we'll tell you that too.
